      For 40 years, BBA has been assisting companies in the Energy and Natural Resources sector with their challenges and transformations. Our local team has been well established in B.C. since 2009 and is comprised of over 200 engineering professionals offering multidisciplinary engineering expertise—from mining and renewables to decarbonization and digitalization.       Mr. Vitez is a renewable energy expert with over 27 years of experience in development, engineering and construction management, as well as the O&M of renewable energy projects in North America and Internationally. Mr. Vitez began specializing in the field of hydropower in 1992 on the James Bay Hydroelectric Complex of Hydro Quebec. Early on in his career, Mr. Vitez worked at developing numerous hydropower projects in Nepal, including his own Khudi Hydropower Project. He later worked as VP Hydro at SNC-Lavalin and supported the development of various hydropower and pumped hydro projects of various sizes and execution models from Design-Bid-Build to EPCM and EPC. Over the past decade, Mr.Vitez worked on developing Hydro Storage, Solar and Wind markets and implementing an integrated approach to renewable energy service delivery.

      With a technical background in hydraulics and geotechnical engineering, Mr. Vitez has managed and directed all phases of renewable project developments from inception, studies, condition assessments, detailed engineering, to construction, commissioning, and operations.

      Mr. Vitez’s career goal is to maximize his contribution to the decarbonization of our economy through economically attractive renewable energy projects. His well-rounded expertise covers multiple disciplines, which adds significant value in the coordination and leadership of large multidisciplinary hydro projects.important to note that other potentially toxic compounds, such as arsenic (As), selenium (Se) and sulphate (SO42-), can be effectively transported at near-neutral and alkaline pH conditions. Similarly, if the drainage chemistry is not properly managed, this can lead to neutral mine drainage (NMD) and saline drainage (SD).
