Companies as vehicles for reconciliation
In Canada, September 30 marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It’s a time to honour the missing children and survivors of residential schools as well as their families and communities. Commemorating this tragic period in our history is an essential step in the reconciliation process with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.
Although companies have made progress in reconciling with Indigenous peoples, much work remains. How can we forge lasting relationships and partnerships to help build a better, fairer future for everyone? Mickel Robertson, Director of Economic and Strategic Affairs for the Innu Takuaikan Uashat Mak Mani-utenam community, and Charles Regimbald, BBA Sept-Îles Office Director, answer Sandrine Rastello's questions in this episode of The ingenuity effect.
