Advanced HV-lab testing and condition assessments

As a third-party, independent organization, BBA has established a high-voltage (HV) laboratory, designed to support manufacturers, electrical contractors and end-users with a wide range of qualification testing, type testing, acceptance testing, condition assessment and root cause failure or forensic analysis of electrical equipment. The BBA HV laboratory is optimized to perform design, production and qualification testing on low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) power cables, terminations or joints, switchgears, bushings, distribution transformers, live-line tools and other electrical equipment. Likewise, the HV lab supports original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for research and development, prototype and trial testing.

Conveyor belt misalignment can negatively impact production and operating costs

Misalignments are a common issue with belt conveyors. They can lead to higher operating costs, capacity losses, unscheduled shutdowns, material spillage and unsafe operator conditions. It can also damage the belt itself, the structure, the pulleys, the idlers and the side travel switches. "Growing up in Iran with a family background in biology and medicine, it was expected of me to pursue a profession as a medical doctor. However, my passion for math and physics, as well as my desire to create safe environments, drew me to the field of civil engineering. I wanted to learn how to design structures that could withstand any external conditions and provide safety for those inside. Despite the societal pressure to conform to traditional gender roles, my parents encouraged me to pursue my interests and supported my decision to study civil engineering. They firmly believed that their daughters should have the freedom to pursue their dreams without limitations.
