Businesses in Central Canada Can Count on BBA

In a context where we continue to add expertise geographically, we’re happy to welcome key players to the team who will enrich and enhance the firm’s depth in various disciplines.

For example, earlier this year Mr. Navin Gangadin joined our team in Toronto as Regional Director – Studies (mining and metals), after seven years with SNC Lavalin, where he held a similar role. He is a senior study and project manager with over 20 years of engineering experience in the mining and heavy industrial sectors. In addition to his superior management skills, he has strong technical expertise in mineral processing and pyrometallurgy.

We’re also proud to have Tim Paquin on our team. He’s a senior consultant specializing in the design of underground mine ventilation systems with over 20 years of experience in mines for precious metals, potash, diamonds and rare elements. Mr. Paquin specializes in using simulation software, like Ventsim and VnetPC, to the point of becoming a trainer. His expertise ranges from assessing the performance of existing systems to designing installations for new developments (levels FEL-1 to FEL-4) to produce NI 43-101 reports.

The firm also added Pierre Filiatreault, a specialist instrumentation technologist with 12 years of experience in design, commissioning and project management for industrial automation and communication systems. He holds technical expertise in control system design, instrumentation selection, wireless communications as well as personnel and asset monitoring and commissioning, especially in underground mining. He has recently added leadership of the central region’s Industry 4.0 offering.

BBA also welcomes Dr. Trion Clarke to the team to lead the central region’s environmental services offering. He has over 30 years of experience in environmental management and sciences. Dr. Clarke supports industrial clients in the mining and metals, energy and infrastructure markets. He has in-depth knowledge of Ontario regulations and ecosystems and will work closely with the BBA teams in Toronto and Sudbury to meet the needs of local industrial clients.

These new additions complement a strong team of previously-added specialists, which includes Joe Nava who leads our oil and gas team, Jason Van Schie who leads our mechanical and structural team, Gustavo Marjovsky who leads our excellent electrical engineering team, and Ivor Shaw who leads our renewable energy team. As we continue to grow in Central Canada, these leaders will be the pillars upon which we will build.
